BallieBallerson Adult Ball Pit

Ball pits are no longer for kids alone, now adults can relive their youth by throwing themselves into pools of plastic bubbles without being escorted from the premises. Welcome to BallieBallerson.

Located in Stoke Newington, over 2 floors, you have a choice of 2 ballrooms, Retro & Glowing. Retro being of the multicoloured ball variety, and glowing consisting of clear coloured balls sitting on a floor decorated with hundreds of LED lights.

Both floors are equipped with a bar serving planet inspired cocktails, though I hear Uranus is undrinkable without popping a miracle pill first!

Ballie is most popular in the evening however day time slots are also available, at which bottomless Prosecco, Punch…and Spaghetti Meat Balls are on offer (spaghetti meat balls).

Remember remember…

Lambeth-Brockwell-Park-WEB-credit-Oscar-Rovira1

…The 5th of November, like anybody in the UK could ever forget. Year after year we’re told of the story of Guy Fawkes’s attempt to restore a Catholic Monarch to throne by blowing up half of London, but was caught with a crap ton of gun powder just before lighting the fuse (there were 60 barrels of the stuff, so this was obviously a suicide mission as no one was escaping that), and later died by throwing himself off of the scaffold he was to be hanged drawn and quartered from.

It’s was all downhill after the 80 years war really.

So now we celebrate this foiled terror attack by letting off fireworks and burning Guy Fawkes effigies (what a magical time this is), and to be honest I f***ing love it.

So here are a few bonfires you can check out around the Capital:

A Sale with Style

photography-botond-istvandi-7-600x400

Car boot sales, we all love em. Getting up at some crazy hour of a weekend morning and venturing into a field or school playground to grab a bargain from a group of mad people who have been up since 4am…it’s the British way and I f’ing love it.

But what if you’re looking for an era specific item such as a record from the 70’s, or outfit for your swing dance class (swing dance is fun don’t mock it, I did almost break my face and leg but that’s neither here nor there), well then you NEED to head over to the Classic Car Boot Sale.

instagram_com-p-bloek6la3pz

Situated 5 mins from Kings Cross Station the CCBS offers vintage wares spanning across the decades, a live DJ playing golden oldies to keep the atmosphere lively and those who, like the gentlemen in the picture above, like to get dressed up for the occasion. I do love me a pair of two toned full brogues.

Vintage clothing and accessories, vinyl records, homeware and collectibles are all available, plus your foods and drinky-poos, vintage cars will also be on show, so if motoring is your thing then that should be reason enough to head on down.

2015 can get the f*%@ out

2015-new-year

It’s that time of year again when we say ‘goodnight’ to the old, and ‘leave the curtains closed’ in the morning (afternoon) of the new.

2015 has had it’s ups, downs & horizontals but once more tis the time for new beginnings, so in the words of Bill Keane:

“Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift, which is why we call it the present.”

…that being said, remember when partying over New Years eve that water is your friend, guzzle down a load of the stuff during the night to help avoid a pain-filled spinner beginning to the year, like the people in the pic below. Ouch!
