Sing me a song mum

Are you a parent? Do you love to sing? Are you continuously asked to leave a premisses due to spontaneous outbursts of song?

Then you need Pram Chorus my friend.

Meeting a couple of times a week in various locations around South West London, a tribe (or colony) of parents come together to make beautiful music, literally. The first session is free, thereafter it’s £7-8 per adult per sing-a-long. You also need your child, you can’t just pretend to be a parent, they need proof!

There will also be cake so make sure you have space in your tum for that. That would be reason enough for me to go, all I need now is a kid.

The Times & Places:

Tuesdays: 10-10:45am followed by cake in Clapham Park, side room at St Stephen’s Church, 35 Weir Road, SW12 0NU.
Thursdays: 2:30pm for cake, singing 3-4pm, Streatham Hill, Telford Avenue, SW2 4XW.
Fridays: 9.45-10.30am followed by cake, The Oak Room in the church centre at St Luke’s 194 Ramsden Road, SW12 8RQ

Cost: First session is free, £7-8 thereafter, to be paid either every term or half term, you get a 20% discount if you introduce a friend.

Thank you for bringing singing parents together @ The Bedford, nice work!

Battersea carboot sale, Battersea South West London

Battersea is not an average boot sale. They’re renowned for being an incredibly busy, highly organised boot sale, often compared with Portobello market for range of goods and atmosphere. If you come to buy, you can expect to find quality items; designer goods, vintage, shabby chic, even antiques and collectables (I’ve personally bought a 20’s Art Deco clock and tray for a fiver each!) alongside general car boot goods.

They have a wide and varied range of sellers, from all walks of life. Unlike other boot sales, they do not have the same sellers week in, week out. Of course, there’re some regulars but the majority of the sellers are first timers or people who do a boot sale once or twice a year.

Hidden thing to do in London, Revealed!

Silent Disco, somewhere in London…

They are a pop-up silent disco based in London. Using combination of iPhones, portable wi-fi networks, headphones, charisma, apps, sounds, shapes and spaces they create instant dance floors, momentary raves and transient music events in any and every place they can.

The concept behind fyi disco is simple; what if your iPhone could function like a pair of headphones at a silent disco?

Go here to find out how it works, then just follow the instructions and turn up at their next location. We run off battery power alone, which means we can pop-up anywhere we fancy, just be sure to charge up before showing up…

If you want to get in touch with them it means you’re probably a nice person, go on and say hello using whichever method you fancy, they’ll love you all the more for it :0)

Where is it?

fyidisco can happen anywhere at any time, for the most up to date information on their next location check their twitter or facebook.
