Carshalton Lavender manages three acres of lavender in Carshalton Beeches in the London Borough of Sutton. They are a not-for-profit community project that aims to keep the heritage of local lavender alive for current and future generations.
Their fields are at the Stanley Road Allotments in Carshalton Beeches. Every July They hold a harvest where everyone can come and pick their own lavender. Lavender oil is distilled from the remaining flowers, and is sold throughout the year.
The annual harvest of the lavender fields with a range of associated events and activities, a barbecue and lavender products and plants on sale. Take scissors and a bag if you want to pick your own lavender.
This year’s harvest will take place on 30th and 31st July 2011.
